The Calm before the Storm
I woke late this morning, the first full day of our holiday. We were staying at Rosemary's Dad's house in Dinorwig. John is quite a character and I never tire of his wee stories and his superb knowledge of etymology, roman roads, geology and many other things most people don't have a clue about.
Nothing much was planned apart from a trip to Waitrose in Bangor for the week's supplies. After that, I went through my race kit, with the help of Rosemary, to make sure I wasn't missing anything. It wasn't. Fewwww....as I was getting nervous about my 2nd and toughest triathlon of the year.
Rosemary made the best veggie lasagne ever as our main pre-race meal and then we headed to Plas y Brenin to register. That was pretty painless and I got an opportunity to take some pics of Llyn Mymbyr the lake we would be swimming in the following morning. It was looking perfect and the temperature wasn't of too much concern after swimming at Portobello beach last week.
