Oasis of Calm

Today has been a strange day, full of ups and downs.

The final outcome has been positive, but it has been tiring.

It started well, and of course that is crucial. Today was salary day, and I've taken to celebrating these occasions by buying coffee and donuts for whoever is in the office. £10 and everyone is happy. Well, until lunchtime anyway.

I had my lunch in the museum/library cafe today. I got my Blip there. I like to sit by the window if I'm in there - I get a view out over a lovely municipal garden. It's always well tended because the war memorial occupies part of it.  

It's also quite a relaxed and comfortable place inside, although the food and service could be a bit more... polished.

The weekend draws ever closer.
