I have to admit that Magpies aren't my favourite birds, but the pair that appeared last Spring and built a nest in next door's tree can be quite endearing. They are seldom apart, and today between the blizzards, there was some very affectionate behaviour going on. What's more, the nest got a bit of an inspection.
