Belts and Buckles

Taxis with working seatbelts in Cairo are very few and far between. Worrying, given that the drivers often drive while texting, talking on their mobiles, drinking mugs of tea and eating. Often at the same time. On the one occasion when Bb and I took a taxi with a working seatbelt in the front seat, I told him to wear it and when we got out he had a big dirty mark from the seatbelt right across the front of his shirt! I'm not sure if this one in the pic is actually serving any practical purpose or if the driver's wrapped it round the front seat to get it out of the way.
