Fuzzy moorland cows

Spotted these lovely looking cows grazing free over the moors a few times over the last couple of weeks but haven't been able to stop to take some photos until today. They were scratching themselves on the farms signpost but of course they stopped the minute I turned up in my little red car. Their curious nature meant they wanted to come over and say hello but just as I started to take a few long distance shots and was starting to get a little nearer, a motorbike went whizzing past and spooked them. As they are on the roadside I didn't want to risk them getting even more spooked and possibly running into the road, with me getting too close, so I just settled for the few shots I had, maybe I'll do better next week.

I've no idea what breed they are, maybe some of the farmers on here can tell me, they are black and white and very fuzzy - just adorable.
