The Gruffalo

A yawningly early start to the day, to leave the house at seven a.m. for the drive north to Darlington. We collected Mrs madwill's mother and took her to hospital for a nine a.m. appointment.

Two and a half hours later we left hospital and back to MIL’s for coffee. Then out for lunch at a garden centre nearby.

Here I spotted lots of wood carvings, including this fabulous Gruffalo. A quick glance at the price tag meant it stayed put!

We came back home after lunch, back by three p.m. I was knackered and ready for a sleep, but Finlay was nattering for a walk…so out we went!
