Bikes

I didn't know that Copenhagen was the city of bicycles before we went there. I thought Amsterdam had that honour. But what a number there are, zooming around everywhere in vast numbers, without much thought to the humble pedestrian. It's because it's flat, of course. And the attitude of creating cycle lanes everywhere. There are lots of sit-up-and-beg bikes with baskets on the front, bicycles and tricycles with boxes and prams and trucks on the front, - and very few derailleur gears to be seen. Lycra very rare. Most of the few cycle helmets worn would not look out of place in the 1950s on a motorcyclist!

And, they are colourful!
