Willows
Here's another picture which was bit constrained by the impossibility of getting much further back than I was already, with the lens at its widest. These weeping willows look as if they're engaged in animated conversation, and the semi-transparent curtain of twigs in front and behind has an effect that I can't yet find a good way of describing. There are probably only another few weeks to see trees completely bare of any growth at all; the faint colouration of nascent buds will slowly alter everything as spring approaches. When I'm out walking I'll look out for other characterful trees still revealing their thoughts, until the new leaves return them to secrecy.
