Blackcap
We get through a lot of apples in the winter! The apples are spiked onto the railings in our small tenemental garden and are mostly eaten by a large population of Blackbirds, with occasional Wrens, Robins and Blue Tits helping out.
Just recently this little fellow has appeared and I read in my RSPB Guide Book that Blackcaps are now an increasingly common visitor to feeding stations in the late winter.
Sorry the photo quality is not so good, but the shot is taken through my kitchen window.
