Amused?

This elaborate statue of Queen Victoria is in Harrogate. By contrast, I recently saw a simple memorial to the same Queen in Western Australia. It was a concrete slab with the inscription "In Memory of Her Majesty Queen Victoria". Nothing wrong with that except it is placed right underneath a rainwater downpipe at the edge of the pavement. It amused me, what were they trying to say?
