On duty

Have you ever wondered whether a guide dog is always on duty or not? What happens to the dog, for example, if the blind person suddenly has to go to hospital or is on holiday.

I have known the answer for some time now. There are families with the necessary qualification to take temporary a guide dog into care. A work colleague belongs to this group and it is interesting to learn from him how guide dogs are trained and selected.
