Smallholding

On my walk, I met the retired farmer who works the charity land.  We had a chat and he picked me a bag of black kale (cavallo nero) as I had not been able to get any at the market. This morning I returned a longcase mechanism to its very fine modern case.  It was a real struggle to get the mechanism back into the clock and I had to partially dismantle both clock and case to get it all to fit back together.  They don't make them like they used to!  Back home I undercoated an old bureau to match the new paint scheme in the living room which is nearly finished now.
