Mono Monday - Out of a Clear Blue Sky

You never know. That's a truism of life. We are each a heartbeat away from something so wildly unanticipated it comes to us as a bolt out of the blue. 

Last night's tragic incident at the bottom of our road has stunned the whole village... it's not appropriate to describe right now exactly what happened, but two cars came to a head-on collision and one person is dead. That that person is a local lad and that the incident took place so close to home has traumatised many. Although I was only a peripheral player in yesterday's drama, as chair of the parish council and admin of the village forum it's been a complex day. 

There's a growing tribute of flowers and football tops at the scene, and remarkable gratitude to the dozens of emergency service workers that attended the incident including the air ambulance, which made a night landing in the playing field in front of my house.

So today I'm not that mindful of photography, but I was drawn to the Moon as she shone through my study window. Out of a clear blue sky.
