Carol: Rosie & Mr. Fun

By Carol

2018 Sunday — Water Meets Land

The winds had been strong all night and did not cease as day arrived, so we stayed in most of the day. Late in the afternoon, though, we were all itching to get out. So we put leashes on three pups, placed them in their spots in the backseat of the car, and we were off to find an adventure.

We found ourselves at Bayshore Bluffs Park in Morro Bay. The tide was out and the shore exposed and the sun descending. The bluffs were lined with huge eucalyptus trees and the breeze whistled its way through the leaves. We found the wooden stairs, with several flights, down to the shore. There was no sand or dirt, but layers of oyster shells from years ago when abalone and oysters were harvested there. Even though it is illegal to remove the shells, the abalone shells were no longer visible. The view toward Morro Rock was quite interesting. I’m sure we’ll be back there again soon.
