Jars of Plenty
Cowgirl Chef posted an article in our paper today called 'Jars Of Plenty'. The article was about filling up old jars with jams and other assorted goodies like coffee, bacon grease, nails, orphaned buttons, and of course some of her favorite foods. She even included four recipes, but none of them really appealed to me.
1. Lentil Salad with Smoked Salmon
2. Cauliflower 'n' Cheese
3. Crunchy, Cheesy Chipotle Chicken
4. Ginger-plum crumble with ricotta creme
Come on! This is Texas Y'all! I fill my newer jars with my famous 'hot sauce' (salsa), pickled okra, and dill pickles. Yes, I have done my fair share of Water Bath Canning. I think it is time to make another batch of salsa.
So after seeing this article, it seemed only appropriate that I get out my old jars and take a shot of them with the article in the paper.
