Confederate Rose
A friend of mine had this tall , beautiful plant out in her herb garden beneath towering pecan trees. Also known as cotton rosemallow
Hibiscus mutabilis
Supposedly this bloom starts out white in the early morning and transforms into a pinkish bloom as the day wears on. This photo was taken around 6:00 p.m. this evening. I'd love to get a shot of it early in the morning to see if the change over is true!
