me and pegs helped the surfers against sewage with the beach clean today - it was ace. the weather was good, not cold, no wind and only a few spots of rain. there wasn’t too much to clean up on the beach itself, quite a lot on the verges and nearer the road though. and the north side of the don is pretty minging. or was anyway.

we got all excited when we thought peggy had discovered some ambergris but there seemed to be too much of it for it to be the real thing. so we left it and went back with the car later to take some home to check. pretty sure it’s not ambergris now...shame! just as well because me and peg argued all the way home about what we would spend the money on...

after the beach we nipped along for a coffee which they gave us in our own mugs then we headed home. beefy had slept all afternoon and was back asleep again after tea. roll on wednesday when these meds finish.
