Male Bufflehead
These little guys are so hard to capture. They are constantly diving and the high contrast of the white and black is hard to expose.
When the sun hits their head (like the hummingbirds) the feathers pick up all sorts of colors. I finally got a good shot of the colors. There were just a few "couples" out today. The extra is another one on a different lake.
I am grateful that I could ride around the golf course with camera in hand. No swinging the clubs for me for a bit longer.
