Fallen branch
We spotted a branch had fallen from the cherry plum tree, presumably in the winds last week. It grows very close to the oak tree, it must be self seeded. The branches spread between those of the oak. It makes an interesting combination, because the cherry plum flowers early, before the oak gets going.
The branch had fallen onto our hedge, squashing a couple of the pittosporum plants. So it had to be sorted today. So W has been busy. The twigs are already at the tip, the main branch awaits another day, when it can be cut up for firewood.
I've spent the day writing a rota, such fun!
