Clark Springs Wood.

This ancient wood is possibly one of the oldest woodlands in the country and used to be part of a larger forest. It was first recorded in 1600AD and the current woodland is at least 400 years old. A very grey drizzly day but the forest floor is beginning to stir (see extra) - my first sighting of a Celandine this year!
