India Mill Chimney

India Mill chimney in Darwen (Nr.Blackburn) at 303ft was the tallest and most expensive in the country when it was completed in 1867. Others were built higher - but have since been demolished. India Mill Chimney has regained her title - the tallest surviving 19C Industrial Chimney in the country (England).
There are Peregrine Falcons nesting up there!
