Soup

Blowing a hoolie out there, so today is a soup making kind of day. Was getting a wee bit fed up with the usual flavours, usually carrot and lentil. So decided to make the Tesco advert Nana’s ‘magic’ soup.
My own nana was an amazing soup maker, so it will never top hers. It is good though!
I remember my nana would always have a huge pot on the go, usually made with a big ham hough, a very traditional Scottish way of making soup. My cousin Cameron lived with her, and had become vegetarian. He asked if this soup was ok for him to eat, “Yes”, she replied, so Cameron tucked in , only to be horrified when chunks of ham floated to the surface. He was mad at her, to which she replied, “oh, just pick those bits out”. :-D
