Global metallics

My second go at the WBC of 'metal'. This is one of Mum's screen door critters made in Darwin Northern Australia out of a silvery metal [ tin or pewter I think] on the beaten copper lamp which came from Zambia in the 60's. 
Very grey and damp outside and although the temperature is quite high it's felt cold. Definitely been a day for indoor pursuits .......I've helped mum make marmalade [ see extra] , then I've been baking for her as she had promised to take biscuits to her Women's Guild meeting tomorrow afternoon. Now about to start dinner ... H gets home from on Miss Saigon soon and Mum is coming round. H got a text Friday asking her to fly out to Australia yesterday to join a ship at very short notice. She is committed to Miss Saigon then a 4 week internship with a fabric design company in February so couldn't go. It was a senior position as well which I think she doesn't feel quite ready for yet.
And back to school again tomorrow .... can't believe it.
