Water cascades, Mill Beck, Buttermere
Looks better LARGE
Really wet day today, so we started the day with a Q&A session in our lecture room, during which time the weather cleared up - I never mind being out in the rain, but setting out in it is a different matter, especially when we have 25 mph winds to contend with too.
We set out just before midday in the general direction of Buttermere, and had our first stop at Moss Force - no sooner had we got out of the car than the heavens opened again, but it did give some good pics, including this one from Telsmudger. Next stop, Buttermere NT car park and a circular walk through the woods, up to the end of Buttermere and back past the Bridge hotel.
This was my last shot of the day. Having contended with rain and some really strong winds, we were just packing up and returning, when I tried this shot from the bridge, looking up Mill beck, it was really dark, and needed an exposure of 15 seconds! but I was pleased with the richness of colour achieved.
