A Game Performance

There was a fantastic atmosphere at Huish Park for the visit of Manchester United and it was great to see a full house of over 9000. What's more, for the first 15 or 20 minutes we gave Utd quite a scare, playing some good attacking football.

It was just a shame that we gave away a goal just before half time through the sort of hesitant defending that has cost us dear too often this season.

It was a bit more comfortable for Utd in the second half but we still had our moments in their penalty area, as the blip shows (I'd like to claim that Michael Carrick was throwing his arms up in despair, but he wasn't!), and we didn't really deserve to concede those two excellently taken late goals, when we had rather run out of puff but were still gamely trying to attack.

Still, we once again rubbed shoulders with the big boys and can say we gave a good a count of ourselves.

Don't expect the ground will be this full when we host Grimsby on Tuesday night :)
