A horse, a horse - it almost looks like a horse...

For Xmas, OH bought me a 3 day Carve-A-Head course from the Fangfoss Rocking Horse Shop (www.rockinghorse.co.uk). So Thursday, I and 5 other keen but inexperienced trainees turned up to try and create a rocking horse head from a wooden blank - shown in the extras. 

I will admit to being nervous, having not done any serious chiseling since school i.e. over 40 years ago. However thanks to a brilliant and exceptionally skilled teacher, I had a great time and managed to produce something that looks like a horse. 

Next steps are to equip the garage with a suitable workbench, fittings & tools, and over time produce the remainder of the rocking horse!
