I did find the old lad's axe, same day I found the "WOODWORKER".
They've changed a wee bit in the interim.
Can't remember how mine got so rusty, but I'll have to take it through hands PDQ!
So far as I am aware it's the original case.

DO ask "the old folk" as much as you can, before they shuffle off this mortal coil. You'll never get the chance again.

I haven't a clue how old he was; a photo exists in which I'd GUESS he might have been in his 60s, I also do know he died in June 1941so there's little doubt his axe is a bit older than me.
