Happy Birthday Daddy (let me help you...)

Today is the Mr.s birthday. He woke up to a surprise, balloons all over the living room, 41 of them to be exact, and confetti streamers! I didn't do much for his 40th, being pregnant and lazy, so I wanted to do something a bit more special this year. So his big gift was "The 41 things Carl has never done birthday extravaganza!" He popped all of his balloons (with the help of the small one) and in each one there was a task to complete. Only after he completes the tasks does he get an extra special gift. I'm mean (and perhaps just buying time to think of the special gift..). Here is the list. In no particular order.

Carl's official 41 things I've never done list--
1 Go geocaching and actually find something!
2 Watch a new film with your wife at an actual theatre.
3 Get dressed up in your wedding fancies and get some pics taken with the wifey.
4 Plant a tree.
5 Ride cushions down the stairs.
6 Your choice- what have you always wanted to do but haven't?
7 Have a dance night with your wife.
8 Have a silly string fight.
9 Discover your ancestors- fill out your family tree to the best of your ability.
10 Invent a delicious smoothie.
11 Take over blip every Friday for 2 months- 8 blips in total.
12 Eat a pasta dish you have never eaten before (made by the wife).
13 Try a new cocktail.
14 Take part in a family tech-free weekend. No computers/ phones/ tv...
15 Climb Tegg's Nose with the family.
16 Paint or decorate a stone and leave it somewhere for a stranger to find.
17 Have breakfast in bed made by the wifey.
18 Eat 5 things you have never eaten.
19 Choose 1- Skydiving, skiing, climbing or whale watching.
20 Carve your name into something
21 Have a family yoga session.
22 Make a giant gingerbread man with the kiddos.
23 Send a message in a bottle.
24 Go to a meeting at the Warrington Photographic Society.
25 Get in touch with an old friend.
26 Learn a line dance.
27 Ring the church bells at St. Marys.
28 Enter one of your photos into a competition.
29 Ride with your family on the River Mersey ferry.
30 Find your way out of a cornfield maze.
31 Learn to juggle/ spin poi.
32 Paint a watercolour landscape.
33 Create a family time capsule.
34 Visit somewhere new- point to a place on the map with eyes closed and go there.
35 Eat a birthday cake you have never eaten before (made by the wife).
36Take an extremely cheesy/ tacky pic for blip.
37 Eat at a restaurant you have never been to.
38 Watch the sun set with wine.
39 Write a letter to yourself to read in 10 years.
40 See the Blackpool lights with your family.
41 Carve a pumpkin family.
