a very peaceful day

Following a very poor night's sleep, during which I read an entire Insp Rebus novel, I decided to have a quiet day on the beach.

Things I have learned today:

For obvious reasons there's no pork here, so at breakfast there's 'beef bacon'
The sea temperature is a very nice 25 degrees
The Bin Laden family have a big observatory on the roof of their house next door
The ex president of Egypt is universally despised
On an unfinished, but still open dual-carriageway you can drive on either side.
