Tiny Tuesday .....

... Bright lights. 

What an interesting day we had!  And it all started at 6:30 am!

You may remember that we dropped R's truck off at the mechanic this past weekend for it's annual inspection. We received word yesterday that it passed inspection and that we could pick it up at anytime. 

This morning we set off before 7:00 am in order to pick it up .... R was going to go to work and I was going to head back home ... in the separate vehicles. 

Well, that didn't go as planned as the car we were using to pick up R's truck decided to have engine troubles!  Luckily we made it the mechanic's garage where we switched vehicles!  Unfortunately now we only had one car so R had to drive me all the way back home and then go to work! 

Later in the day I heard from R regarding the car we dropped off this morning .... apparently the air compressor siezed.  Not good news! The repair could cost upwards of $1,000!

But being the frugal guy that he is .... R called around to local auto supply stores and found an air compressor for a fraction of the cost that the mechanic quoted to replace it! Seeing that the mechanic is sort of a friend he understood and agreed to let us buy the compressor and he would still install it for just the cost of the labor.  This will save us a bundle. 

After supper we went to the auto parts store to buy the air compressor and R will take to the mechanic in the morning. 

The picture above is one I shot on the way to the mechanic. It was raining quite hard.  I'm tagging this for Tiny Tuesday even though I'm backblipping it on Friday!
