Keeper's Cottage

Today N and I met L and J for lunch at the above pub situated on the edge of woodland between Honiton and Collumpton in the Blackdowns.  We had arranged to pick up a couple of trees and some hedging plants at the nursery nearby to finish planting round the new grain storage barn.  The food was good and cheap and masses of it - too much on one plate!  The sun shone - a treat after a  couple of days of rain and storm.

So many thatched pubs have burnt down in our area because of sparks flying out of the chimney, it is good to see this one has an aged thatch, long may it stay safe from fire!
