Let me go by Christina Rosetti

This poem was read out at Mum’s funeral today. A sad day for us all but we are all so grateful Mum was in her own home almost to the end.

It was wonderful to see so many of my school friends there today. Friends who have been there for me and are very special.

There were also many folk from the village who had kind words to say about Mum and will miss her .

As Mum would say she got “ a good turnout!” Very generous donations were made to the British Heart Foundation.

As we left the cemetery there was a rainbow in the sky .......

Totally shattered tonight. I could not have got through the day without John, our family and friends. Thank you all.
