Witch Hazel

I need to get out to the garden.  There are so many things to do out there it is difficult to know where to start.  But starting somewhere and starting soon.
The Witch Hazel has started flowering.  It is a favourite.  I like the way the buds break into brightly coloured yellow fronds.  And they appear from branches which look as if they have given up like many winter shrubs and trees.  Such an unpromising start to beauty.  And there will be perfume.  And more blips.
It is showing us the way.
