Eye to Eye

Seagulls and sea-kayaking silhouettes.

At last after over 3,400 km we got the kayaks off the camper and into the sea. This was blipped near Göcek, on our way to Kas, the south-west tip of Turkey. Although it was very calm when we set out to circumnavigate the nearest island, by the time we were returning, many of the yachts and motor boats were moving either in or out of the harbour that we were trying to get into. They were much bigger than us and causing what felt like tidal waves that we had "fun" riding. I remembered the man in the marina shop mentioning that we should be wary of the morning "rush hour", we now know what he meant! Glad to be in Kas at our friend's house and relaxing - no driving anywhere for a while!

Hit "L" for larger seagulls, they look better.
