Robert Burns

Courtesy of the Alexandria Burns Club website. founded in 1884.   The portrait painter was Alexander Nasmyth in 1787 and the painting is hung in The Scottish National Portrait Gallery.    Burns was 28 years old when this was painted.
We are going to some friends this evening to eat bashed neeps, mashed potato and haggis, accompanied by a wee dram or two!
