The weather forecast suggested that the better weather was going to be in the north of the county so we drove to Whinlatter. It was cold and windy, and the cafe was closed for refurbishment. We decided just to wander along one of the short trails and then head back into Keswick. 

This is the view to Grisedale Pike at the furthest point of the walk. We kept spotting a heron which worked it's way upstream ahead of us. It was more alert than me so no photos worth posting.
