Burns’ Night

The day we celebrate the birth of Scotland’s Bard.

I bought this book at the little gift shop they had at Burns’ Cottage back when I was 10 years old.

- My sister says I need to mention that I am a Burns.  It is my middle name, being named after my maternal great-grandmother -

The site isn’t what it is now. Back then it was just the cottage and a small gift shop with “some” information about Rabbie’s life. It was quiet and you could take a walk to the bridge that Tam O’Shanter was chased over and not see another soul.

For those that don’t know Rabbie (Robert) Burns and his poems here is Tam O’Shanter

It’s another crazy day for me but I hope to find time to visit everyone’s blips today.
