2 Kinds of Pelicans

There are two kinds of pelicans.
1. The kind that soar over the water searching for fish...then dive-bomb in after them.
2. Or...this group...that hang around the boat ramps, and wait for handouts from the fishermen.

The hand-out group does get into trouble. These two guys only gave them the skin and some small scraps. But, some of the fishermen give them the entire fish carcass. Then, the birds get that carcass stuck in their throats...can't dislodge it...and die.

As a picture-taker, both groups are fun to take photos of, though you'd like to see the birds work for their supper. Also, notice the flying gull. They swoop in, and try to steal the scraps right out of the pelican's mouths.
