X's and O's

I gave the girls the night off from practice, a rare thing at this time of year. In my thinking, a night away with good rest will do them more good than two hours of intense practice. So what did I do with my evening off? Yep, I talked basketball with my old friend Matt who is coaching a 7th grade team this year. It's funny, but after an hour and a half of talking X's and O's, Matt summed it up perfectly on the whole coaching thing: "You just have to make them believe in you." That is it exactly. At 17-1 this season, we all have to believe in each other.
