Seeking Refuge

A lot of the snow vanished overnight. The consequence being a rapid rise in river levels. Conditions underfoot were not good as I tried to find a dog walk which was not ankle deep in mud.

The option took me on the far side of the railway making use of better surfaced tracks. Shooting was taking place in the woodlands so it was no surprise when I encountered these two pheasants looking for shelter. They seemed a bit undecided as to the best route.
