Light and bright

I took a few photos today, some of them rather good, but decided that, as is my way, the one that summed up our day has to be the one blipped - taken with my phone, in a moving car, though the windscreen, with a haze over the mountains - so not that good. But it shows the light, the bright, the warmth, the scenery, the new development - things that we come for, year after year. And contrasts with yesterday's picture quite well. We love this country and it is a joy to be here, on the road, out of the airport and heading towards . . . 

. . . well this time we are in Franschhoek in the Winelands. We are staying at a rather luxurious guest house and have had a lovely meal in a busy and wonderful restaurant a few minutes walk away. We are tired and are off to bed.
