Forest

Had my first Wednesday off, and while I thought it would be hopeless trying to sleep past the sounds from the playground, I somehow managed to sleep through children arriving at school and their morning break, and was only woken up by the sound of them going home at midday-ish. It's still always really disorientating to wake up to the sound of French voices though - I think that's when I'll know that I'm fully settled/vaguely on the track to fluency, is when I don't wake up shocked and confused.

I went for a walk in the forest just two minutes up the road, to escape the room for a bit. Felt a bit creepy and predator-ish though, as the few people I passed were all dog-walking rather than roaming about in the forest with a camera like a madman.
