Finchingfield Post Mill...
The usual Tuesday routine, up and out early to The J's Hospice in Witham for a very busy day.
It was getting dark by the time I got to Finchingfield on my way home so this is a quick snap of the windmill for my blip today.
This is the oldest windmill in Essex standing on a hill overlooking Finchingfield, the most photographed village in the county. The Grade II-listed post mill also known as Duck End Mill and Letch’s Mill is thought to have been built around 1756. It stopped operating in 1890.
I will stop again with a longer lens to do a proper job of this.
