Canongate Kirkyard

Well before starting my shift I took a wee walk up Calton Hill but rather than the usual shots looking down Princes Street I decided on this one of The Canongate Kirkyard just off The Royal Mile in Edinburgh it has some well known burials there like Adam Smith and its reputed that David Riccio who was murdered in the presence of Mary Queen Of Scots had his body re interred there after previously being buried at Holyrood Abbey and its also where Charles Dickens drew inspiration for his character Scrooge after a walk around the kirkyard in 1841 and noticed the grave of a vintner named Ebeneezer L Scrooge and I like the colours of some of the buildings around that area so this is my shot for the day
