Reunited

Well, call me naiive but I didn't expect to return home to minus one!

The journey home was totally trouble free and enjoyable with the hills looking splendid and welcoming in their autumnal colours. I had a fabulous welcome from both dogs and it appears that they had both been on their best behaviour for their holiday parents; in fact, I think they were all sad to say farewell to them!

I had been looking forward to my first walk back but this morning was a rather unexpected and rude awakening. For today, anyway, autumn has given in to winter. Very wet with zero temperature! However, once suitably clad I thoroughly enjoyed being out with Cara and Bruce and so I have chosen this happy shot of them running towards me on the moor.

I haven't unpacked yet - but as it is only summer clothes I reckon it can wait! Now I am off to the more important task of re stocking my fridge before I settle in tonight, with the heating full on, to catch up on Downton and hopefully some of your journals.
