Foundling Tokens for Tiny Tuesday

In Marchmont Street in Bloomsbury there are a series of small metal tokens embedded in the pavement depicting some of the objects that were left by mothers when leaving their children at the Foundling Hospital. If the mother could come back to reclaim their child the token would be a way of identifying the child. I always feel rather sad when I walk by. The installation was created by John Aldus.
