Grand Canal, Venice

We had a good flight to Venice from Manchester. The promised snow at the airport didn't materialise fortunately and we had a prompt departure and arrival.  Quick transfer to hotel by bus and then short walk to hotel on the Grand Canal.  Out for a walk about before sunset - Rialto Bridge, St Marks and then a Bellini at Harry's Bar.  Dinner and collapsed into bed.  


We heard that No 2 grandchild and first grandson arrived today. Mum and baby doing well and surprisingly already back home this evening. Really pleased for them.  Didn't have labours like that in my day.
