Softly, Softly

My Dear Fellows & Dear Princess,

It was another beautiful day in Wellington today. I wandered along the harbour and caught this picture of the sightseeing helicopter taking off. 

But most of my lunch time was spending going to pharmacies. You see, poor little Jasper has always had a problem with constipation, and sometimes it seems to cause him discomfort.

Er Indoors thought he was having a bit of trouble yesterday. So today I went from chemist to chemist, asking for stool softener* "for my cat".

I could see them looking at me with a look of, "Oh yeah. Uh-huh. Sure."

It was tempting to say, "It's not for me! Really! I go AT LEAST once a day! I just have to SNIFF a cup of coffee and I'm off to the bathroom with my newspaper!" 

But I'm not sure that would have improved things.

Let them think what they like. Jasper has just had his paraffin-flavoured chicken. I'm hopeful that he'll be feeling better tomorrow.

* Liquid paraffin. Vets prescribe it, so it's quite safe for kitties.
