That's not a curtain ring

Got a story this week

I started walking to lectures an hour early, so when I realised I stopped in to see my Granny. Was just eating some lunch and saw this ring amongst some old key rings, screws, safety pins etc. So I questioned my granny;
"What's that?"
"Oh have a look at it, see if you can make anything out, I'm not sure there's some writing"

It's only a wedding ring, we suspect my Grandads grandparents. It's difficult to make out the initials on it though. Just as well I went round for lunch.
