Go back my Lord...
... there's TWO of them.
Copper Lustre Jugs
I know √2/3 of dammall about them, other than they fall within my parameters.
That well-known auction site has them from about £12 -£≤100, whereas an antique seller online with one 9" one, (these 2 are about 6") quoth thusly:-
"This wonderful jug measures 9inches tall and is in really good condition for the age, plus the glaze is very lustrous and shining. These old lustre jugs were made for the working class people as a form of "illumination" in their homes during the dark and long Winter evenings. In those far off days, only candles and the firelight would brighten up the kitchens and parlour rooms ... These lustrous jugs, sitting on dressers or hanging on hooks from the ceilings, would radiate a warmth and cosiness , just like real copper does. They still have this wonderful effect today, buy one and see! circa 1850 For sale at £135 GB pounds."
